As Jesus breathed his last on the cross, the earth shook violently and the sky turned dark. A loud voice thundered from heaven, saying, “This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. But you have rejected him and killed him. Now you will face my wrath and judgment.” Then, a host of angels appeared in the sky, armed with swords and trumpets. They descended upon the earth, striking down the Roman soldiers and anyone who had mocked or betrayed Jesus. The people cried out in terror and agony, but there was no escape from the divine vengeance. The angels spared only a few faithful disciples and followers of Jesus, who had witnessed his miracles and teachings. They gathered them in a safe place and comforted them with the promise of Jesus’ resurrection and return. The rest of the world was left in chaos and destruction, as God poured out his anger for the killing of his Son.
